# Harvesting

### Mushroom Harvesting (Node Expiration)

To keep this protocol sustainable, each node (mushroom) you plant will eventually have to be harvested because a mushroom can only live for so long. Each level of node will have a different life duration. You will have to plant a new one all over again.

### Different Mushroom Lifespans

* Level 1 (Bloomshroom) = 220 Days
* Level 2 (Moonshroom) = 200 Days
* Level 3 (Tripshroom) = 180 days
* Level 4 (Kingshroom) = 160 days

### How is harvesting calculated?

The days will be calculated from the date you created it, if you wish to keep it at a level 1 mushroom. When you level it up, the counter restarts at day 0. If you have multiple nodes that were created on different dates, they will expire on the date that corresponds with each of them separately.
